THYME-LEAVED SPEEDWELL (perennial)

Description: This is a creeping plant that has clusters of white or pale blue flowers (4-lobed, about 1/8″ wide) with darker stripes on the petals. 3 of the 4 petals are rounded, with the lowest one a bit narrower. The plant forms mats along the ground. The mostly opposite leaves are 1/4-1/2″ long, minutely-toothed, egg-shaped or sometimes more rounded/ovate.

Habitat: Roadsides, meadows, and damp open woods;
