http://www.mtnforum.org/resources/library/baxtp02a.htm
This case study frames out the development of the Forestry Heritage Trail Project, which integrates forest history, culture and handicrafts, ecology and industrial production into a multi-state initiative to promote rural community development.

Research Highlight
This highlight, "Tourism and Forest Products: Twin Resource Sectors for Effective Community Development in the Lake States",  points out the compatibility and benefits of forest product and tourism economic activities. Based upon community research in the Lake States Region, the authors suggest their findings are "likely applicable to other regions".
