Glasses for kids with Down Syndrome

June 21st, 2010

Glasses can be made especially for children with Down Syndrome-as part of a line called Erin’s World.

They were designed by an optician-mom who couldn’t find glasses to fit her daughter.   They are designed to fit a wider face with shorter temples and most notably, the bridge is set quite low.  They look better and fit better, staying in place with  the special nosepad placement.  The line only has 10 frame styles in quite a few sizes and colors.

You can check out the Specs4Us website as a supplier. The frame line is called “Erin’s World,”  Erin being the little girl they were designed for.
