mom and babyParents Are Teachers, Too (PATT) offers free information and support to all interested first-time parents in Waldo County. Our goal is to make your life as a parent a little easier and more satisfying, so that you can give your child the best possible start in life.

During visits to your home, you will receive information on:

  • Having a healthy pregnancy
  • Preparing for your baby’s arrival
  • Labor and delivery
  • Infant care, feeding and nutrition
  • Falling in love with and interacting with your baby
  • Child development
  • How to help your baby learn
  • Using books with your child
  • Play
  • Other community resources available to you

If you live in Waldo County and are expecting or recently had (within the past three months) your first baby, you are invited to take part in University of Maine cooperative Extension’s Parents Are Teachers, Too program at no cost to you.
