Farm*A*Syst

Farm*A*Syst stands for Farmstead Assessment System. It is a national program coordinated by Cooperative Extension Service, Soil Conservation Service, and US Environmental Protection Agency. Farm*A*Syst helps farmers and rural residents identify pollution risks on their properties. The program uses easy, step-by-step worksheets to evaluate activities and structures that may pose water pollution risks. It is also used to evaluate how soils and geology influence overall pollution risks. The results of this evaluation are then used to formulate a personalized, voluntary action plan to lower any pollution risks identified.
