Get hands-on experience growing and preserving herbs with UMaine Extension in Falmouth

Falmouth, Maine — University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a workshop on growing and preserving herbs on Tuesday, June 2, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the UMaine Gardens at Tidewater Farm in Falmouth. Learn more on the Gardens at Tidewater Farm page.

This hands-on workshop will focus on practical techniques for successfully growing culinary herbs, including when and how to harvest for peak flavor and plant health. Topics include identifying the edible parts of the plants and how each can enhance cooking. Participants will also learn about how to preserve herbs for everyday use, including making their own herb powder using the dehydration method.
