SUMMARY:Robotics Training for Educators
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is designed to teach adults how to build and program with Lego® SPIKE Prime robot kits. We focus on using the skills learned from these workshops to teach robotics at schools and on robot teams. We will be using the LEGO SPIKE robot controller\, and programming it using the LEGO Education SPIKE App. \nNote: We will be providing all necessary robot kits & devices (laptops or tablets) for use in this session. However\, if you prefer to bring your own device\, please make sure to download the SPIKE App before the session\, found here: https://education.lego.com/en-us/downloads/spike-app/software/.  You can also bring your own SPIKE kit if you already have one!

SUMMARY:4-H Page Day in Augusta
DESCRIPTION:On March 25\, 2026  in Augusta\, Youth Agriculture Policy Day coincides with Maine Ag Day\, an annual celebration honoring the dedication and impact of Maine’s farmers\, producers\, and agricultural community. It’s also a time for youth to get actively involved in their democracy\, to see how and who makes decisions that impact our state\, and to be involved in that process themselves.  \nRegistered 4-Hers age 13 or older are encouraged to serve as Honorary Pages in the Maine House or the Senate on Youth Agriculture Policy Day\, March 25th\, 2026. The Maine 4-H program has up to 20 slots for Honorary Pages and registration is first come\, first serve with a registration deadline of Saturday\, March 14. \nWhat does a page do? Legislators are constantly communicating and making decisions while in session and pages make that communication possible. Pages hand out information packets or place the paper information on their desks. Pages will also run communication and documents directly from legislator to legislator. It’s fast paced and pages will be moving around the chambers quite a bit\, taking direction from the Clerks. We will meet at 8:30 for pictures and an orientation. Then at 9:00am we will divide our group with one going to the House and the other to the Senate where each group will receive their instructions. The session will begin by 10:00am and will likely conclude around 12:30pm\, but the timing is never certain. Lunch will be on your own. \nIf you have questions or would like to request an accommodation please contact Kristy Ouellette at kristy.ouellette@maine.edu. Thank you.
