What you write about your project really helps the judges and people viewing the Virtual Exhibit Hall understand your process, what you learned, and why the project is important to you. This is your chance to tell everyone about your wonderful work! We encourage you to take some time with this. Ask 4-H staff, a parent, or your 4-H leader for help.<\/p>\n

These sample reflections helped actual 4-H members earn blue ribbons and high praise from judges! After each of these, we have added responses that might lower the ribbon earned to red or white. Consider these when you write your own reflections.<\/p>\n

I learned how to thread a needle on my own. I have an even bigger pillow that I made for my big brother.<\/p>\n

My mama thinks sewing is important to her because it calms her down and it\u2019s peaceful. She shares sewing with us. It\u2019s special to have a mom who shares\u00a0something she\u2019s good at with us.<\/p>\n

It was important because I got to learn how to grow and take care of vegetables. I also got to work with my brother and we used teamwork to help each other with our garden.<\/p>\n

I learned how to draw in the style of a standard cartoonist and\u00a0how to develop simple characters and jokes. I also learned how\u00a0to use feedback from others to make my work better.<\/p>\n

I love drawing and telling stories and I enjoyed working with\u00a0other kids with similar ideas and seeing the many varying styles\u00a0of art and stories to come out of it.<\/p>\n

This is a new prompt on the reflection doc this year. Here we want to know the process you went through and skills you used to complete your project.<\/p>\n

Junior <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Blue <\/strong><\/h4>\n

In the summertime, I enjoy camping with my family. The piece I created\u00a0has an orange tent, green moss, trees and a moon. It also has mountains\u00a0and stars in the background. I used an old sweatshirt for the tent, small\u00a0twigs for trees and real moss for the ground. I also used birch bark for the\u00a0moon and some paint for the background. The tools I used include a paint\u00a0brush and a hot glue gun. It took about a week to make, and I enjoyed the\u00a0process. I was inspired by other people doing pieces similar to this.<\/p>\n

I glued some items from nature and my home onto my painting. It took a long time to make.<\/p>\n
