It\u2019s important to consider those characteristics as you begin planning learning activities for your club.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%\" border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"3\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\" align=\"center\" valign=\"top\"><b>Characteristics of Age Group<\/b><\/th>\n<th scope=\"col\" align=\"center\" valign=\"top\"><b>Implications for SPIN Clubs<\/b><\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">Are very concerned with themselves and their peers; acceptance by the opposite sex may become important<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\">Expect some attention-seeking behavior as they look for acceptance from the opposite sex. Working in small groups continues to be important so consider co-ed groups.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">Enjoy new ways of doing things as they master abstract thinking; they may challenge adults as they test these new skills<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\">Allow youth to plan activities and take responsibility for a meeting or event.
