Alyssa Adkins comes to Cooperative Extension after twelve years in New York City working in public health and food justice initiatives. Her most recent work focused on expanding the reach and effectiveness of a food pantry in Queens as well as developing and scaling up a product line of hot sauces and ketchups for a small urban farm. Alyssa’s role at UMaine Cooperative Extension involves supporting staff in the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in five counties, and expanding advocacy efforts for EFNEP.
