It was a great day at Chase Stream Farm with Maine AgrAbility’s Boots-2-Bushels first summer hands-on field day.\u00a0 The group of veteran farmers from across the state gathered in Monroe to learn about irrigation on the farm.\u00a0 They were able to practice hands-on installing an irrigation system in a high tunnel, and practice transplanting seedlings using a Hatfield Planter. This type of assistive technology can help reduce bending and twisting during this activity.<\/p>\n
