Our program pairs you with a dedicated financial coach, <a href=\"#bio\"><strong>Allison Bishop, CPA<\/strong><\/a>, and focuses on curiosity, growth, and proactive learning rather than traditional buyer-seller interactions. You\u2019ll gain knowledge in your areas of interest which may include budgeting and spending plans, growing savings, managing debt, building your credit score, and investing and retirement planning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The MAMP Financial Coaching Program is designed to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist individuals &amp; families in agriculture, aquaculture, and fishing gain confidence in and understanding of basic financial concepts and practices.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a model to seek out resources and expertise around money management, planning, budgeting.<\/li>\n<li>Create an intentional and low barrier opportunity to discuss and explore an often taboo and uncomfortable subject: money!<\/li>\n<li>Provide a different experience: working proactively with a financial coach in environment that focuses on curiosity, learning, and growing understanding \u2013 instead of the norm: interactions with financial professionals only as a borrower, buyer, or seller.<\/li>\n<li>Build transferable skills and knowledge in personal financial management that can flow into aspects of farm business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Your Journey, Our Support<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Your time and thoughtfulness in (a) attending scheduled sessions with Allison, the Financial Coach, (b) completing three brief surveys and (c) one Financial Coaching Intake Form &#8211; provided by Allison &#8212; for this no-cost program ($750 value).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>&#8220;This program isn&#8217;t just financial coaching in the sense of looking at numbers and making bold decisions &#8211; it is holistic and takes into account a farmers lifestyle, and who we are as individuals.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3><strong>Registration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong> land &amp; sea farmers, fisherman, and workers in this industry (Limited to 15 individuals or families).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enrollment\/Application Period:<\/strong> Rolling application submissions.<\/p>\n<p><em>*Please note: If the deadline for the enrollment\/ application period has passed, please submit the application (below). Graduating from the College of William &amp; Mary in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, she spent nearly a decade working in public accounting, litigation consulting, and forensic accounting in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, Allison has contributed expertise to Portland, Maine&#8217;s local accounting firms, focusing primarily on individual tax returns.\u00a0Driven by a passion for personal finance ignited by a childhood shaped by healthy financial discussions, she now focuses on guiding individuals towards financial wellness.
