SUMMARY:Androscoggin-Sagadahoc Counties Extension Association 2026 Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Annual Meeting is an opportunity to meet ASCEA volunteers and Cooperative Extension staff\, learn about their work in Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties\, and participate in a STEM activity led by Sarah Sparks\, 4-H Science Youth Development Professional. \nThis meeting is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Please use the SCEA 2026 Annual Meeting Registration (Google Form)\, to register to attend by Friday\, October 16. \n2026 Schedule of Events\n\n5:00 p.m. – Open House with ASCEA Members\, Extension staff\, and 4-H and Master Gardener Volunteers\n5:30 p.m. – Election of Officers and Members\n5:45 p.m. – Presentation by Sarah Sparks – From Curiosity to Discovery: Roles in 4-H STEM\n\n4-H STEM volunteers change lives and make a lasting difference on young people. From fostering curiosity\, helping youth discover their sparks and mastering new skills\, leading 4-Hers can have a meaningful impact. SUMMARY:4-H Family STEM Club
DESCRIPTION:4-H Family STEM Club is designed to offer adults the opportunity to explore avenues for 4-H involvement\, such as club leadership and county program support. Together\, youth and their caregivers will explore the Science of Seaweeds while experiencing how 4-H can help youth thrive! This is a great opportunity for both adults interested in seeing how 4-H clubs run and for kids interested in joining 4-H. Families will engage in hands-on science and art activities together\, with opportunities for adults to lead activities with the support of 4-H staff. \nSessions will be offered Thursdays\, 4 PM to 5:15 PM\, November 5 through December 17\, excluding November 26th. Activities are geared to ages 5-10.
