UMaine Extension\u2019s successful educational programs result from a federal, state and county partnership that address the issues of Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties residents. Since 1919, when the Maine Legislature passed the County Extension Act, the University of Maine has been in all Maine communities with a local county office that is funded by county government. ASCEA oversees the funding allocated by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.androscoggincountymaine.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Androscoggin County Commissioners<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sagadahoccountyme.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sagadahoc County\u00a0Commissioners<\/a>, which provides housing, support staff and basic operations for UMaine Extension in Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Officers<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>President: Jessica Hunnewell, Auburn<\/li>\n<li>Vice President: Jennifer Morin-Edwards, <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lewiston<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Treasurer and Secretary: <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Janis Moore, Lisbon<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Board Members<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jo-Jean Keller, Lisbon<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Melani Schwartz, Lewiston<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Faculty\/Staff Members<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Lynne Holland, Horticulture Professional<\/li>\n<li>Laura Personette, 4-H Youth Development Professional<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ASCEA is actively recruiting new members.
