<\/a>Super Sitters – 4-H Babysitting Course<\/b><\/h3>\n

Are you interested in babysitting? Do you have younger siblings or family members? Do you want to feel more confident working with kids? This is the perfect 4-H program for you!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Super Sitter Babysitting Course is designed to prepare youth ages 12-16 for babysitting responsibilities.\u00a0 Participants will discover what is <\/span>what it takes to be a responsible, caring, trustworthy, competent, capable, and safe babysitter. <\/span>Teens will learn basic safety measures and how to respond to emergency situations when caring for young children.<\/span><\/p>\n

*This is not a first aid or cpr certificate course.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\"4-H<\/a>JOIN Aroostook 4-H Youth Council, October 2025<\/b><\/h3>\n

We are excited to announce the return of a great leadership opportunity for our older members: the <\/span>Aroostook 4-H Youth Council!<\/b> This council will be a group of engaged 4-H members from across the county who will work together to plan events, provide input on county-level programming, mentor younger members and develop valuable leadership skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a fantastic way for teens to have their voices heard and take an active role in shaping the future of 4-H in Aroostook County.
\n<\/span>Who can join?<\/b> Any 4-H member who will be 12 years old or older as of January 1, 2026 and has completed at least one year in 4-H, is eligible and encouraged to participate.
\n<\/span>How to get involved:<\/b> When you enroll for the 2025-2026 4-H year this October, simply select <\/span>“Aroostook 4-H Youth Council”<\/b> as an additional club. Joining the Youth Council is a supplement to your regular participation, so you should choose it <\/span>in addition<\/span><\/i> to your primary club or independent membership.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due date for enrolling in Aroostook 4-H Youth Council is <\/span>October 31st <\/b>(via zsuite<\/a>), more information about the council’s first meetings and activities will be shared after that date.

<\/a>Welcoming and re-welcoming NEW CLUBS & Volunteers<\/b><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>Bridgewater 4-H Club<\/b> will hold their first meeting on October 21st.\u00a0 The club will be led by Angel King, Angie Bubar, and Olivia Cyr and meet once a month to work with kids on various projects and skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Wild Mustang 4-H Club<\/b> will be accepting new members under the leadership of Carmen Kimball, Katie Sloat, and Sara Tidd.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Aroostook 4-H\u2019er Attends Big E<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"4-HAroostook Valley Baby Beef & Treystar Pathfinder member, Bailey McLaughlin, attended Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, MA in September as part of the Maine 4-H Beef Team. She reports.. <\/span>It was a very fun experience and I learned a lot of cool stuff, and will definitely be going back. It truly is a great experience.\u00a0 I made it into the top 10 showmen, 2nd overall individual judging, 1st place overall team judging, and 2nd overall sweepstakes. It was overall a very fun event and I benefited a lot from attending. I was nervous at first but I made a ton of friends and learned lots.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
