Abby Sadauckas, MFA is a farmer and agricultural service provider. Abby operates Apple Creek Farm, LLC a certified organic livestock operation in Bowdoinham. In addition to project managing, Abby is the Portland facilitator for the MOFGA Farm Beginnings course. Abby is a board member of Bowdoinham Community Development Initiative (BCDI) and serves on the steering committee of Slow Money Maine.
Leslie Forstadt, PhD-Educational Psychology, Associate Professor, Human Development Specialist, conducts educational programs and research about farm/family balance, communication skills, and stress reduction. She will serve as project leader assisting with the research, working with the individuals to incorporate focus group data to create the DACUM for Maine Beginning Farmers, Beginning Farmer Learning Stages document. In addition, she will provide leadership in training beneficiaries and developing the educational materials to be used by beneficiaries after the training.
Tori Lee Jackson, MS-Plant, Soil and Environmental Science, Associate Professor, Extension Educator, Agriculture and Natural Resources, specializes in beginning farmer education and farm business management. She provides one-on-one consulting with beginning farmers in the early stages, and continues relationships with them as their businesses evolve and change, providing feedback and insight about business planning, technicalities of growing, and expanding production practices. She will provide project leadership in content and training for beneficiaries, and participate in the research to develop the DACUM for Maine Beginning Farmers, Beginning Farmer Learning Stages document.
