About Irrigation for Wild Blueberries
Irrigating wild blueberry fields may be necessary to ensure that plants are receiving approximately one inch of water per week during the growing seasons of both crop and prune years. Wild blueberry plants do best when multiple, smaller volume rain events occur throughout the week rather than fewer, high volume rain events. Irrigation systems are a way to supplement rainfall and encourage robust plant health and fruit development.
