woody at base.\u00a0 Leaves oblong, entire, sessile, up to 1.5\u2033 long with\u00a0<strong>numerous, conspicuous translucent dots<\/strong>.\u00a0 Numerous, five-parted yellow 3\/4\u2033-1\u2033 wide flowers clustered at branch ends.<\/p>\n<p>-spreads through rhizomes, stems, and seeds<\/p>\n<p><strong>Habitat:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-fields, shores of rivers, man-made disturbed areas<\/p>\n<p><strong>Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Hand pulling<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>only on new small plants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>-biological control, species that feed off their leaves<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Chrysolina quadrigemina<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>hrysolina hyperici<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Aplocera plagiata<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Agrilus hyperici<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Over exposure can lead to health problems<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>skin lesions<\/li>\n<li>necrosis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; may be confused with <em>H. punctatum<\/em>, which has black dots\/streaks over the
