Many fields had infection periods overnight from Thursday, May 10 to Friday, May 11. In the midcoast,<\/strong> cups are still reported to be active in\u00a0 Hope and Appleton and to have dried down in other areas.\u00a0 I expect the cups to be finished by the end of the weekend.\u00a0Downeast<\/strong> we are still in the midst of mummy berry season with lots of active cups.<\/p>\n

If you applied fungicide after Thursday, May 3 (seven days)<\/strong>, your plants were protected during this infection period.<\/p>\n

If you have not<\/strong> applied a\u00a0fungicide and want to apply a fungicide with some kickback activity, you have approximately 72 hours from the start of the infection period to do so.\u00a0 For this potential infection period on Thursday night<\/strong>, you would have until approximately\u00a0Sunday May 13<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fungicides with some kickback activity include Propimax, Bumper, Orbit, Tilt for example (containing propiconazole) or Indar (containing fenbuconazole).\u00a0 Please see the 2018 fungicide recommendations on the Fact Sheet 219 – Disease Control Guide for Wild Blueberries<\/em><\/a> and check with your buyer before applying any fungicides to your crop.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
