Tara Pocock

Tara is a 4-H Professional working with the Telstar Freshman Academy during the school months and as the waterfront coordinator during the summer months.  She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelors of science in the field of therapeutic recreation.  Throughout her career Tara has advocated for and educated young people on the importance of maintaining healthy minds, bodies, and relationships with others and the environment.  She loves sharing her interests in gardening, snowboarding, canoeing, knitting, rock climbing and cooking with people of all ages and abilities.  Tara is an American Red Cross certified waterfront lifeguard, SOLO certified Wilderness First Responder, Maine Department of Education Level Three Education Technician, and a certified School Based Behavioral Health Professional.  She has had recent training in high ropes rescue and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
