DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Starting Seeds Indoors Workshop on Wednesday\, March 20\, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cumberland County Office\, 75 Clearwater Dr\, Ste 104\, Falmouth. \n\nDesigned to provide participants with the best practices for growing seedlings indoors\, this workshop will feature hands-on learning with the opportunity to sow a pot of seeds to take home. Space is limited and registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Date: March 20\, 2024\nLocation: Scarborough High School\, 11 Municipal Drive\, Scarborough\, ME\nTime: 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.\nCost: $25\nTo register: Savory Jellies and Jams Registration \nHerbs\, sweet and hot peppers\, onions\, and garlic can all be preserved in jams in jellies\, which make unique treats in the dark of winter. These spreads will warm up your hearty winter fare as a glaze on meats or as an appetizer served with soft cheese. Come learn about the versatility of savory jams and jellies with this hands-on class from University of Maine Cooperative Extension staff and Master Food Preserver volunteers. Participants will receive recipes and a jar of savory jelly/jam. Please bring a potholder with you to class.
