Educational Programs - From Scratch: Your Maine Kitchen

University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Cumberland County hosts an educational food-related workshop series called “From Scratch: Your Maine Kitchen.” Every year more and more people look to increase their consumption of locally grown foods, in a sustainable way, to meet individual food needs. This series centers on educational experiences for the home cook with a distinct Maine flavor, connecting with local Maine cookbook authors and experts.

When: Saturdays, October through March

Where: UMaine Regional Learning Center, 75 Clearwater Drive, Suite 104, Falmouth, ME

Cost: $40 per class

Participants will learn to create salad dressings, marinades, baking quick breads, and desserts using Maine craft beers. They will need to bring a cooler to class for a take home protein with a beer marinade.
