4-H Leaders Association Meeting \u2013 January 20, 7:00PM
\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Join us on Thursday, January 20, 7:00PM in-person at the Gorham Public Works Building (80 Huston Road, Gorham) or online via Zoom for a Leaders Association meeting. These meetings are a chance to meet volunteers, and to offer input on 4-H programming in Cumberland County! All volunteers are welcome and encouraged to attend! Fashion Revue Intent to Participate Due January 21st<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"Fashion<\/a><\/strong>The 2022 4-H Fashion Revue invites members that enjoy designing and making their own sewn, crocheted or knitted projects to showcase them in this year\u2019s event. Our theme is\u00a04-H Fashion Fun<\/strong>, and we are encouraging all participants to get their creative juices flowing with great materials, yarns, and patterns, resulting in some great projects.<\/p>\n

Fashion Revue is open to all ages, with categories for Cloverbuds (ages 5-8 years), beginner, intermediate, and advanced sewers, knitters, crocheters & upcyclers. Items crafted can include garments, accessories, stuffed animals, livestock blankets or any other item your creative mind can imagine and your talented hands can produce.<\/p>\n

You must fill out an\u00a0Intent to Participate form (Google Form)<\/a>\u00a0by Friday,\u00a0January 21.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>You will need to have your completed project dropped off at the UMaine Extension Cumberland Office by\u00a04:00PM on Thursday, February 24\u00a0<\/span><\/span>along with the necessary forms, or make other arrangements with Jenn Grant. Deadline with date and time of project drop off are non-negotiable.<\/p>\n

Judging for Fashion Revue will take place in-person on\u00a0Saturday, February 26\u00a0<\/span><\/span>at The Little Falls Activity Center (40 Acorn Street, Gorham). Your creation will first be judged off-person, then you will either wear or bring your entry before the judges starting at 1:00 PM. A Fashion Show will take place at 2:30 PM following the judging.\u00a0The snow date for judging is March 5th, 2022<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>State 4-H News January 2022<\/b><\/h2>\n
\n

New Maine 4-H Virtual Learning Hub<\/b><\/h4>\n

<\/b>Maine 4-H Virtual Learning is a hands-on, virtual learning program for youth ages 5-18. Workshops will be organized by age and topic. Topics include engineering, science, animals and agriculture, teen leadership, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Workshops will range from single-time events to short-term programs (typically four to six sessions). Participants will engage in hands-on activities, interact with other 4-Hers, and be positive adult role models.<\/span><\/p>\n

No prior experience with 4-H is required to participate. This is a great way for those who are interested to learn more about 4-H.<\/span><\/p>\n
