SUMMARY:Farm Succession Planning In-Person
DESCRIPTION:University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer “Set Your Farm’s Future on the Right Path\,” a six-month farm succession planning group\, on the second Monday of each month from December 8 through May 11. Participants can choose the in-person option\, which meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at Kennebec County Extension Office\, 125 State Street\, Augusta or the virtual option\, which meets online from 7-8:30 p.m. \nThe group will support growers and producers at all stages of farming who are navigating the challenges of succession planning. You don’t have to have a succession plan in place to participate. Participants will engage in goal-setting and create individualized timelines with guidance from UMaine Extension’s Farm Coaching Program. The monthly group format allows participants to share experiences and solutions\, offering a collaborative space to build clarity and confidence in the succession planning process. \nThe program is free\, however\, registration is required.
