DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, October 21\, 2026\n6–7 p.m.\nOnline via Zoom\n Register Online \nCallie Foster and with leader Jean Sloat of the 4-H Wild Mustangs horse club\nInterested in becoming a 4-H volunteer? Start Your 4-H Volunteer Journey is a free\, one-hour virtual session for people who want to learn more about getting involved with 4-H. \nParticipants will learn what makes 4-H unique\, how volunteers can help young people thrive and what volunteer roles may fit their interests and schedules. The session is intended for individuals who are not currently enrolled 4-H volunteers. No previous experience is required. \nThe session will be led by Jen Lobley\, Extension Educator for Volunteer Development. \nRegistration is required and closes at 8 p.m. Oct. 20. SUMMARY:4-H Super Sitters Virtual Series
DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays\, October 27 – December 1\, 2026\, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.\nVirtual – Connect from home; we will mail key materials.\nAges 11 – 18\nLearn the basics of babysitting through our introductory 4-H Super Sitters Virtual Series! 4-H staff will introduce interested teens to the basics of babysitting – what questions to ask families\, how to hold a baby and change a diaper\, and the developmental stages of children. This workshop is targeted for youth ages 11-18\, with a maximum of 12 youth participants. The last session\, December 1\, will be a hybrid model\, with in-person location(s) to be determined. \nCost: Free\nRegister by September 30\, 2026 \n Register Online \n\nIf reasonable accommodation is needed\, please contact Gabrielle Brodek\, 207-255-3345\, or email gabrielle.brodek@maine.edu.
