Mainely Dish: Roasted Turkey
— By Alex Gayton, Assistant EFNEP Coordinator & Social Media Coordinator, Expanded Food Nutrition and Education Program (EFNEP), University of Maine Cooperative Extension
If you are in charge of the turkey for Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving this year look no further for a recipe, as this only requires four ingredients and 2.5 to 4 hours to cook. I partnered with Executive Chef Rob Dumas (UMaine), who is the University of Maine Food Science Innovation Coordinator and Facility Manager for the School of Food and Agriculture, to create a series of recipe and recipe videos to provide more holiday-themed food recipe ideas and it was so much fun! I have never cooked a turkey before, and even I was amazed at how easy this process was.
Visit EFNEP’s recipe website for the Roasted Turkey recipe and recipe video (UMaine Extension).
