Chickpea Hummus

Makes 8 servings | Serving Size: 1/4 cup


1 (16-ounce) can chickpeas or garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
4 teaspoons olive oil
4 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons minced garlic


  1. Drain and rinse beans.
  2. Mash beans with a fork, potato masher or blender.
  3. Add olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. Mix well.
  4. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add additional liquid (such as water) and mix well.
  5. Serve with pita chips, vegetable sticks or on bread.
