Servings 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 2 whole honey graham crackers
  • ½ medium apple
  • ½ cup non-fat vanilla yogurt (regular, Greek, or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Clean the kitchen area and wash hands with soap and water.
  • Rinse apple under cold running water.
  • Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs and set aside. Recommend putting the crackers in a closed bag and crushing them using your hands or a rolling pin.
  • Core and chop the apple into ¼-inch pieces. Skin can stay on or be peeled off based on preference.

Assemble the apple crumble

  • Add the crushed graham cracker to the bottom of the cup or bowl.
  • Add the diced apple.
  • Add the applesauce and cinnamon.
  • Top with vanilla yogurt of choice.

Storage

  • For safety, refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container as soon as possible, or within 2 hours, and use within 4 days.
  • While the crumble cups are safe to eat within 4 days, it's recommended to eat them as soon as possible, because the graham crackers will lose their crunchy texture over time.

Notes

  • Choose yogurt based on preference. If you want to decrease added sugar, choose a plain yogurt instead of vanilla. The final product may vary in texture, consistency, and flavor depending on the yogurt choice.
