Please bring your questions and ideas! Participants should plan on being at the event from noon \u2013 2:30pm.<br \/>\nThis event is open to any 4-H member or 4-H volunteer. An <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4h\/animal-science-resources\/sheep\/fryeburg-fair-market-lamb-intent\/\">online<\/a> form is available, otherwise<br \/>\nyouth can print and mail a copy downloaded from the <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4h\/animal-science-resources\/sheep\/\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong>4-H Tick Project<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/hancock\/4h\/tick-project\/\">4-H Tick Project<\/a> is a community science project engaging K-12 youth and educators, made<br \/>\npossible through a partnership between 4-H Youth Development, UMaine Cooperative Extension<br \/>\nTick Lab, Maine Forest Tick Survey, and members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.learningecosystemsnortheast.org\">Learning Ecosystems<\/a><br \/>\nNortheast partnership. The project provides youth an opportunity to explore ticks and tick-borne<br \/>\ndiseases, which is a connected story of climate, ecosystem change, and public health.<br \/>\nAll educators interested in teaching about ticks in Maine are encouraged to participate in the<br \/>\nproject at no cost to you. This is a great project for 4-H clubs, SPIN clubs, homeschool groups,<br \/>\nand more. More information is coming soon. We can\u2019t wait to see you there!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong>Do you know someone interested in becoming a 4-H Volunteer? Tell them about Start Your<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>4-H Journey!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a two-part online informational session for<br \/>\nadults interested in becoming Maine 4-H volunteers on May 22 &amp;amp; 29 from 6 &#8211; 7 p.m. \u201cStart Your 4-<br \/>\nH Volunteer Journey\u201d will provide participants with information about the UMaine Extension 4-<br \/>\nH youth development program through four short e-Learning modules. Attendees will also<br \/>\nparticipate in an experimental learning activity, learn about the key aspects of positive youth<br \/>\ndevelopment, and be introduced to ages and stages of youth. The two one-hour virtual sessions<br \/>\nwill wrap up with an outline of next steps and an introduction to a county staff contact to help with<br \/>\nthe application process if desired.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is required.
