The short answer to your question is, unfortunately, “not really.” The typical “natural” approaches are things like boiling water, horticultural vinegar, etc.–none of them will kill enough of the ants to make a difference in most cases. Extension branches tend to encourage some level of tolerance of the ants, both because they require insecticides to eradicate and because they do a good bit of control on other insect pests in the lawn and garden. But when they get too established, they can really be a pain in the yard. The least impactful of the chemical interventions is repeatedly flushing the nests with water mixed with insecticidal soap, but the reported results are mixed.
