Registration open for DIY Bird Feeders!

Registration is now open for the 4-H Workshop, DIY Bird Feeders. 4-H is partnering with the Northeast Public Library on Mount Desert Island to offer this exciting workshop! Participants will learn how to make bird-feeders out of materials that you can find around your home. Materials provided, participants will walk out with their own bird-feeder. Participants will also learn about the Great Backyard Bird Count, a national citizen science initiative that helps researchers at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society learn more about how birds are doing, and how to protect them and the environment we share.

This will be part of a three-part series. Stay tuned for the other workshops!

Workshop is at the Northeast Public Library on February 26th at 4 – 5:30pm. (Don’t worry about coming a few minutes late if you’re coming from other schools in the area.)

If you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact Joyce Fortier, joyce.fortier@maine.edu or (207) 667-8212 by February 3, 2020. If requests are received after this date, we may not have sufficient time to make necessary arrangements.
