Introduction to Pruning Landscape Trees and Flowering Shrubs

We are offering a Pruning Workshop for the backyard gardener as well as those working in a related field.

When: Friday, March 13th – 9 am-Noon

In this workshop, participants will learn the Essentials of Pruning Woody Plants (indoors) and practice pruning flowering shrubs and small landscape trees.

If the weather permits, some hands-on instruction will be held outside.

What to bring:

If the weather permits, we’ll be spending part of the session outside pruning. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Tools needed for the course, if you have them:

1 pair hand pruners
1 pruning saw (7” – 13” blade)
1 pair loppers
safety glasses and gloves

If you plan to purchase new tools and are unsure of the type to buy or where to obtain them, wait until after the first class.
