Workshop: Growing Your Best Berries

The 2023 Master Gardener Volunteers monthly workshop series begins on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. Dr. David Handley will present a session for Master Gardener Volunteers and the public at the Cooperative Extension Office, 63 Boggy Brook Road in Ellsworth.

Cost: There is no fee for the workshop, but reservations are required. Space is limited.

This workshop will take a detailed look at growing raspberries and blackberries, including variety selection, planting, pruning, trellising and pest management, to help you have a successful harvest of these fruits.  Weather permitting, the session will include demonstration in the garden after David’s presentation of information in the classroom.

Watch for Upcoming Dates: Once each month throughout the growing season, a Saturday morning workshop on a gardening topic will be presented at Cooperative Extension, 63 Boggy Brook Road in Ellsworth.
