Join University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Sound Pine Farm for a field day to learn about deep compost mulch soil management for vegetable production systems. This event is part of a Maine Healthy Soils Program-funded project investigating nutrient movement and developing best management practices for highly amended vegetable production systems.
Participants will hear about the project, tour Sound Pine Farm’s deep compost mulch fields, and take part in a discussion of observations from the 2026 growing season with fellow farmers and Extension staff.
