Also, the ALB does not have the<em> single<\/em> distinctive white spot of the whitespotted sawyer, but instead has about 20 white spots on each wing cover.\u00a0 The body of the ALB is also shiny and black, compared to our sawyer beetles.\u00a0 Additionally, the antennae of the ALB are very conspicuously banded black and white (the antennal banding is more subtle and less black in the case of the Whitespotted Sawyer beetles).
