Since the soil can be the most valuable natural resource and the most limiting factor on a farm, be sure to learn more about the soil types on the property before you rent or buy.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/maine-farmer-resource-network\/find-resources-and-assistance\/first-considerations\/\" style=\"text-transform:none;\" ><span class=\"button\"> Visit the What to Consider First? page for a list of Resources<\/span><\/a>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Please send us your questions!<\/strong> Do you need information on how to apply for grants or other funding opportunities?
