Pollen Palooza

Explore the fascinating world of bees, butterflies, and other pollinators through hands-on activities, expert-led tours, and family-friendly fun on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy avian activities with Maine Audubon, free samples from Wyman’s Bee Wild Mobile, live and pinned insects, a bee petting zoo (!), face painting, sunflower planting, an observation hive, and more.2 bees on an orange flower

Special sessions include:

  • How to Build and Maintain a Bee Hotel @ 11 a.m. presented by Phil Fanning, UMaine
  • Insect/Plant Tours @ 10:30–11 a.m. and 12–12:30 p.m. guided by Jennifer Lund, Hillary Peterson, and Gary Fish;       Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry
  • Storytime @ 11 a.m. with Cindy Seger, Old Town Library
