SUMMARY:Storytime in the Garden
DESCRIPTION:UMaine Cooperative Extension and the Old Town Public Library will co-host a free Storytime in the Garden series at the Rogers Farm Demonstration Garden\, 914 Bennoch Road in Old Town\, on five dates this season: June 26\, July 24\, Aug. 28\, Sept. 18 and Oct. 30\, 2026\, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. \nThe program is geared toward preschool-age children\, though older children are welcome to attend. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket and a stuffed animal for storytime\, after which children can explore the demonstration gardens. The event is free and takes place at the Rogers Farm Demonstration Garden\, which has been a community hub for gardening education since 1994. The sessions offer a relaxed opportunity for children to engage with the natural world through stories and hands-on exploration of the garden. \nNo registration is required. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket and a stuffed animal for storytime\, after which children can explore the demonstration gardens. The event is free and takes place at the Rogers Farm Demonstration Garden\, which has been a community hub for gardening education since 1994. The sessions offer a relaxed opportunity for children to engage with the natural world through stories and hands-on exploration of the garden. \nNo registration is required.
