The native trees and shrubs planted here are still young, and we are watching them carefully as they adapt to living in this challenging urban environment. These species were chosen because they have shown potential to perform well in residential and business landscape settings.<\/p>\n

While enjoying the arboretum, you can look for species that might be suitable for your home, work, or school grounds. You can help preserve Maine’s unique diversity of plant and animal life by landscaping with native plants.
