4-H Piscataquis Passport Project

Youth ages 5-18 are invited to enroll in the 4-H Piscataquis Passport Project. This program is intended to encourage youth and their families to access healthy food and fun activities this summer in the Dover-Foxcroft area.

Youth who sign up by June 21, 2019, will receive a passport that they can have stamped at

  • SeDoMoCha school garden, Mondays from 9-11 a.m.
  • Thompson Free Library, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • 4-H Fun @ Dover Cove Farmers Market Tuesdays at 3 p.m.
  • SeDoMoCha Middle School free summer meal
  • Exploring the World Around You, Saturdays from 10-11 a.m.

This year we also plan in collaboration with the Piscataquis Soil and Water Conservation District an Adventures in Nature Series. For more info go to Exploring the World Around You page.

One of the most popular features of the Passport Project is the Veggie Vouchers. Each time the participants have their passports stamped at DCFM, they’ll receive $5 in Veggie Vouchers, up to $30 to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at DCFM. Veggie Vouchers are supported by the Piscataquis Regional Food Center and the Piscataquis Extension Association Executive Committee.

The project is a collaboration between the University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H and community partners in Piscataquis County. Enrollment forms are available Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the University of Maine Extension office 165 East Main St. Dover-Foxcroft or you can download them HERE, to print off, fill out, and bring into the office.
