Fourth Friday Plant Clinic

Got Questions About Gardening?Sedo School Garden

UMaine Extension provides free research-based gardening advice to home gardeners through our Piscataquis County Office Help Desk and now through our Fourth Friday Community Plant Clinics. We use our experience, training, excellent library and online resources, to help you identify and solve issues with plants, plant diseases, weeds, good and bad insects, soil, lawn care, plant selection and more. We do our best to answer your question immediately. However, sometimes we need to take more time to research your issue or to consult with UMaine Extension Insect and Disease Diagnosticians, or other UMaine Extension experts. We may also recommend another agency or organization for you to contact. Our goal is for you to have the best answer possible.

Black Knot in Plum branchThis year our Fourth Friday Plant Clinics are a great opportunity for us to come to you.
Piscataquis County horticulture staff are going on the road! We will be answering your gardening questions throughout Piscataquis County. Stop by and say hello, and let us know how we can help. Bring a diseased plant or tree branch for diagnosis, a bug for identification, and share your gardening questions and successes.

The initial Fourth Friday Community Plant Clinic will be held at the
UMaine Extension Office, 165 East Main St, Dover-Foxcroft on February 28th from 10 am to 2 pm. We will have soil testing information and a soil texture demonstration available. Bring in any gardening questions you may have.

When you have a home gardening question or problem, ask us!
