Lunch and Learn Preserve Apples, September 23, 2021

It’s that time of year to enjoy those wonderful Maine apples.  Please join us at 1:30 p.m. for a demonstration on dehydrating apples.  This is a great way to preserve the harvest that you may not have considered before.  We will review the recommended safe practices to dehydrate your harvest.  Recipes for apple products will also be available.

Also available on September 23rd, Pressure Gauge for Cannerfree pressure gauge testing will be available from 9:00 to 2:00.  It is recommended that you have your pressure gauge tested annually to ensure accuracy and safety in home food preservation.  No appointment is needed and arrangements to drop off your gauge for testing can be made in advance.

Per University of Maine guidelines, face coverings are required indoors for all visitors and employees.
