4-H Goat Workshop

Maison de Chevre in Dover-Foxcroft will host a 4-H Goat Workshop for families who have goats, are considering getting goats, or just want to experience a working dairy goat farm in the Maine Highlands. On August 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Sadee Mehuren, 4-H Animal Science Professional, will facilitate a hands-on overview of basic goat care and handling for youth aged nine and above. Tips for showing goats will also be offered, just in time for the Piscataquis Valley Fair! While the workshop is designed primarily for older youth, families are also encouraged to attend. Younger children are welcome with adult supervision.
