Photographing Beef Cattle

Brown cow in fieldThe Maine Beef Producers Association is going virtual with its fall feeder calf marketing opportunity for its members and buyers. Having a nice picture that shows your animal to the best advantage will be very important in making a good sale. You can use your smartphone or digital camera to take a nice picture of your animals.

UMaine Extension and the MBPA are sponsoring a program on Photographing Beef Cattle on Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30 PM by Zoom. Kelly Hamilton, who has been taking the 4-H Livestock sale photos at the Bangor State Fair will be the speaker to share with you how to find a good location, position your animals, and find the best light to make the best chance of getting a good picture.

This will be free and will be by Zoom, open to anyone interested in learning how to take a good picture of their beef animal.

The workshop is free, but registration is required.
