Instead of sending each email about a new opportunity separately, we will save them to be sent all in one email on Friday as a weekly update! Any updates or opportunities that are time-sensitive will be shared immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Maine 4-H Foundation Post-Secondary Education Scholarships<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Important Deadline!<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> These scholarships are available to participants in 4-H programs who are pursuing higher education. There are a number of different scholarships available. Scholarship descriptions, applications, and sample evaluation sheets can be found at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4hfoundation\/funding\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4hfoundation\/funding\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The deadline for applications is <\/span><b>March 1, 2021. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Bring the application to your county office. The county will submit them electronically to the Maine 4-H Foundation. Remember that the Foundation application is used for county scholarships in Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties as well, with a separate cover letter for each county. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Links to the cover sheets can be found on your county website.\u00a0 Complete your county cover sheet and attach it to a copy of your Maine 4-H Foundation application to be considered for both scholarships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Tractor Supply Paper Clover Campaign<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next TSC Paper Clover Campaign will be held from April 28 to May 10. It is doubtful that we will be able to go to the stores in person, so <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">please share<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> any fun, creative, interactive ideas for displays that you might have. There is a new TSC store in Holden, so we now have <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">four<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> stores in our area.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Club Reports<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Outdoor Adventure SPIN Club &#8211; Penobscot County<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Outdoor Adventure SPIN Club had its first meeting on Saturday, February 27 at the Bangor City Forest. Future meeting dates and locations will be announced in the coming weeks. If you are interested in joining, it&#8217;s not too late! Check out the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/penobscot\/2021\/02\/08\/outdoorspin\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">program website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for more information and to register.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Winter Fun SPIN Club &#8211; Piscataquis County<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Final plans are coming together. Contact the Piscataquis County office if you are 4-H age 12 or older and would like to be on the list for information about this outdoor winter activity club. The first activity will be cross-country skiing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Choose Health: Food, Fun, and Fitness SPIN Club at the Brewer Library<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Choose Health: Food, Fun, and Fitness SPIN Club at the Brewer Library had its last session on February 25. Participants met virtually to learn about staying active, nutrition and made a recipe each week.
