Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN)

The Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) is a collaborative multi-state effort by Extension Services across the country to improve the delivery of services to citizens affected by disasters. This site is designed to provide Extension agents and educators with access to resources on disaster preparedness, recovery, and mitigation that will enhance their short- and long-term program efforts.

University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension Disaster Handbook

The handbook includes chapters on floods, fire, drought, tornadoes, winter storms, and community/family issues. Handbook can be ordered a hard copy with a disk of all files in WordPerfect for $35.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Disaster Resources

Includes a disaster guide, information, resources and agency listings. Includes some helpful tip sheets on how staff can prepare for a disaster.
