Section 2.9 Workplace Safety

UMaine Extension staff are required to follow all of the policies and procedures of the UMS Safety and Environmental Management (SEM).

All staff should familiarize themselves with the SEM website. Staff should complete the annual Basic Safety Training required of all staff and identify other training required for someone in their position. Supervisors also have the responsibility to know what training is required of the supervisee and to ensure the staff member has completed this training. The following links are to all of the training requirements and can assist supervisors in carrying out their responsibilities to ensure training is completed and policies are followed.
