{"id":635,"date":"2011-11-28T10:33:41","date_gmt":"2011-11-28T15:33:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/plugged-in\/?page_id=635"},"modified":"2022-04-01T11:23:08","modified_gmt":"2022-04-01T15:23:08","slug":"deadlines","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/plugged-in\/hr\/extension-professional-employees\/promotion-process\/deadlines\/","title":{"rendered":"Professional Employee Promotion Process Deadline Dates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By July 1:<\/strong> Employee submits a letter of intent and downloads <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/plugged-in\/hr\/extension-professional-employees\/promotion-review-application\/\">Promotion Review Application Form<\/a> from Plugged In.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By July 31 or last business day prior to July 31 if that date falls on a weekend or holiday:<\/strong> Employee submits one (1) complete packet in <strong>a Word or PDF file document<\/strong> to Angela Hart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By October 1:<\/strong> The Extension Professionals Promotion Review Committee (EPPRC) reviews each packet and makes a recommendation. The packet is forwarded to the employee\u2019s supervisor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By November 1:<\/strong> The employee\u2019s supervisor reviews the packet and makes a recommendation. The packet is forwarded to the director or his\/her administrative designee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By December 1:<\/strong> The director or his\/her designee makes a recommendation. The packet is forwarded to the provost\u2019s office. The packet is reviewed by the provost\u2019s office, Human Resources, and forwarded on to the President\u2019s office for final review. If a promotion is granted, the employee will receive a letter from the President.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By December 15:<\/strong> Applicants receive a copy of all three (3) recommendations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If the promotion is approved, it becomes effective on the applicant&#8217;s anniversary date in the next calendar year.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By July 1: Employee submits a letter of intent and downloads Promotion Review Application Form from Plugged In.
