This is a great opportunity for new beekeepers, prior to their first year of bees, to learn the basics of honey bee biology and beekeeping. Program Description

This is a great opportunity for new beekeepers, prior to their first year of bees, to learn the basics of honey bee biology and beekeeping. It can also serve as a refresher course for beekeepers just now going into their first winter, and even those with a couple of years of experience who want to enhance their skills and knowledge. The Beginner Beekeeping course consists of 5 sessions and will be taught by Eastern Apiculture Society (EAS) Certified Master Beekeeper, Erin MacGregor-Forbes. The $ 100 fee for the course includes the cost of the textbook.

Textbook (required): “The Beekeeper’s Handbook”, 4th Edition, by Diana Sammataro (Author), Alphonse Avitabile (Author), Dewey M. Caron (Foreword) ISBN: 978-0801476945

The course fee is $100. You may receive the textbook from us via scheduled pickup at our office in Falmouth at no additional cost, or choose delivery by mail from us for an additional $15 shipping fee.  Order directly from the publisher ( The Beekeeper’s Handbook (Wicwas Press) or from our publications department, or from the seller of your choice and receive a $30 discount on the price of the course- pay just $70.
