Instructor:

  • Jonathan Ebba is a Field Specialist with UNH Extension and is chair of the Landscape and Greenhouse Area of Expertise team. Prior to joining Extension, he managed the greenhouses and taught courses in greenhouse management and production at the UNH Thompson School where he created a hydroponics program, selling student-grown hydroponic produce to the Oyster River Cooperative School District for use in its nutrition program. He had 15 years’ experience in the greenhouse industry in NH prior to joining UNH. With Extension, Jonathan works with growers to bring university research and knowledge to the plant industry in New Hampshire to make commercial horticulture even more profitable and successful. He also collaborates with schools and non-profits to promote plant use, plant science, and careers in horticulture. In his educational and organizational approach, Jonathan tries to build “interdisciplinary bridges”, and believes that bringing people together from a wide variety of expertise areas adds value to educational and problem-solving processes.
